Pre-Order Medal of Honor: Warfighter to gain access to Battlefield 4 Beta, reads a banner on EAs Origin client. Under the Shooter category in the client, the banner appeared earlier today.

You may recall that the first print of the last Medal of Honor game, the limited edition as it was dubbed, included tokens for access to the Battlefield 3 beta. Further, since Medal of Honor: Warfighter will have the same incentive for Battlefield 4, the next game in the Battlefield franchise may release next year. It would be far fetched for EA to include beta codes in Warfighter for a game thats more than one year out.

It should be noted that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 was rumored to be in development through resume leak in May.

If you go to Origin, select "Genre" and then "Shooter," you'll see the image above greet you in all its glory (thanks, Mp1st).

Astute readers might remember that EA did the same cross-game promotion when it offered access to Battlefield 3's beta for buyers of 2010's Medal of Honor reboot.

While EA making Battlefield 4 is a no-brainer (Battlefield 3 did manage to sell over 15 million copies to date), is this announcement a tad too soon? It's also worth pointing out that this being the case, that means Battlefield 4 will see a current-gen release.

For PC players this might be no big deal, but for console FPS fans who want more than 24-players on the battlefield, well, that could be a bit of a dilemma. Unless, of course, DICE has found a way to enable more players for the game's console version.
