its very hard to get parts for a laptop, and to get it work first time.
+ he has school , not much time to build one.
Get off the internet, please - not for me, but for the well being of everyone else. You're clueless. Even if you had an unlimited budget, it's still an insanely bad move to get an Alienware laptop, or any gaming oriented laptop for that sense. Also, he's talking about a custom built desktop...not a laptop. So what if he has school? It takes an hour. Ignorance, pure ignorance. You make yourself look even more of a coward for downvoting a useful comment. TTG community at its finest.
sorry to burst your bubble :3

don't get me wrong but they look awesome .
go for it if you have the money , just don't listen to the guys that say build your own.
unless you get a desktop.
Build your own, its 20x cheaper, I don't get why you don't build your own, besides its not like you don't do your homework at home in highschool..

Actually Alienware's laptops are great, Their desktops are the only things that are OP and Garbo...
and I would LOVVEEE to see you make a computer in a hour from scratch hmu with the vid.
No, they're not. You can get an Asus laptop with a GTX 560m and dominate any Dell / Alienware laptop in it's price range, making it crap for the price. But this is all meaningless since gaming laptops as a whole are a joke since they're not portable, usually have bulky build quality, glossy screens, and are power hungry with questionable battery life. Basically a semi-portable tower.
You would love it now? Cool. Send me some parts and I'd do it for no problem. This guy did a build blindfolded in a little over an hour. It's not as hard as people make it out to be.

I really hope you're legitimately ill in the head since that's the only excuse for being this retarded.

They're too stubborn for their own good. It's sad to see. No matter how much proof you provide, some people will only be loyal to 'X' brand even though it's insanely overpriced and under powered for what it is.

Obviously it's his money and it's going to be his decision in the end, but I'm not going to stand in the sidelines and have a user who is not very knowledgeable in the subject that's he's talking about give horrible advice. No, I'm not going away. Drag people down so much? How so? By pointing out your obvious flaws and ignorant statements? If you call that dragging people down, I'm the #1 abuser in that area.
