What processor should I buy for gaming fOr around 60 I have an lga 775 socket thanks.

You should just save up and build a new computer.

775... Some Core 2 Quads might be able to keep you in the game, but odds are it's time for a new system. It had a good run.

I don't usually recommend it, but it might be a better idea for you to stick with a console. GTA runs like crap on PC regardless of specs because it's a console port, and I recall you wanting to play GTA. It's hardly worth upgrading a 775 system as you'll have bottlenecks and compatibility issues everywhere you look.
