I would buy a slim because they are more sleek and they don't get RRod as easily

Since you're buying the console soon I would suggest going with the halo4 console that is coming out soon

It comes with two halo 4 controllers with blue leds, a 320 GB HDD, Halo 4, xbox 360 mic, exclusive dlc, the console features in game sound effects, and the console is completely custom designed

Lets just face it, FAT consoles are just becoming obsolete with the new slims that just keep getting manufactured

A slim is the way to go
What better time to buy then now

i would say slim new fixes most old xbox porblems and it comes with wireless adapter but elite other hand can be easily flashed and it can also have 250gb max as the slim has 320 now

Slim:
Wireless internet
Smaller
Better features
Shiny
Look way better
Kinect
Hard to get rrod
Not noisy

Elite:
Gets rrod after like 2 or 3 years
Very noisy
Needs wireless n adapter for it to be able to have wireless Internet
Bigger than slim
Overheats to much if you play it for a long time

So if I were you I will get the slim of you decide to get the elite (I know it's cheaper) but you will regret it trust me

Definitely go with the slim! I had an elite and after a year it got RROD and i didnt even play it that much. I like the slim more than the elite because of the nice glossy black and its touch sensitive and is much smaller than the elite. It also has better cords too, and is less likely to get RROD. Im sure if you constantly play it for 8 hours a day it might get RROD in like 3 years. But thats just my guesstimate.It also doesnt need a wireless adapter or whatever, you can connect to the internet without paying the extra 80 bucks or whatever they cost now. Hope this mad up your mind!
