Hey I have made a couple of slime farms on different peoples worlds and I always make them 5 blocks above Bedrock and the room I make is 30 x 35 with a ceiling of 6 blocks high. Make sure the room is lit up a lot thats the only way slimes spawn and thats how I do it I get a ton of slimes I already have a chest full of 64 stacks of slime balls. Hope that helps
