Budget & Currency: 400 GBP (The MAX is 440 GBP but please don't go over 400 unless it will make a relative difference on performance)
Peripherals & Monitor: None, got everything I need at the moment
Games: Not the main priority but would be good for something that can run Battlefield 3 on a solid medium (Not the biggest gamer and only have a 1440x900 monitor)
Software: Cinema 4D, Autodesk (No very heavy rendering) Photoshop, a little After effects and video rendering
Aesthetics: Quite high-tech looking (not OTT but nice, looking at this ATM [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Rebates/Promos: If any
Details:
Really want a 2500k
I can by a after-market cooler in future to over-clock
If you cant fit in 8GB of RAM on that budget please stick to 2x2GB and I will buy more if needed
500GB HDD should suffice but if it is not too much more a 1TB would be great
As I said before please stay around the 400 mark and slightly prioritise CPU over GPU
Would like the case to have a minimum of 4x case fan slots also (I can buy extra fans later)
Preferably something where I can upgrade in later if I need.
Thanks in advance, great topic BTW

$596.92 with $20 worth of MIR.
1TB HDD + case that you wanted. Strong i3-2100 that obliterates anything in its price range. Solid 7770 that'll run COD and Minecraft with ease.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] / the cheaper case that you selected ( current on back order so I could not add it to the card ).

449.33 with the i3-2100 + 7770 configuration. Drop the video card completely and use on board and you'll have enough for a 2500k but lack gaming performance.

You play at a much lower resolution so the average FPS will be much more.

$399.92 + $10 worth of MIR.
Standard DVD burner + HDD. AMD 3870K ( CPU + GPU in one ) will run Minecraft flawlessly. Reliable PSU and great case to work with.

I've seen like four different kinds of dollars here. New Zealand, Canadian, US, Australian. Like I said in the OP, please indicate which one by using the three-letter abbreviation. "USD," "AUD," etc.
