So i found my pvr that i havnt used in a while, and when i plugged it in with the chord that i thought went with it, it turned on for a second then dhut off, it smelled like something was burning in it. i plugged a 12v power into instead of a 5v which it required. I was wondering if anybody knew a way to fix this... please and thx

You just fried your PVR, that's why it says on the back of it, "Only use power supply provided."

I am aware of that, but is there a way to replace something on the mother board thing or whatever to fix it?

no the process would be too hard may aswell buy a new one
