i want to know because when i ht the big slime with a pickaxe it just died

You have to hit it with your fist only or with a bow and arrows only, otherwise it just dies.

Same with the small ones, but not the tiny ones.

CYP, you have to punch it with your fist of use a bow and arrrow
punching a large slime can be a very lengthy process but it worth the wait
