I bought a Xenon and it came with a Lite-on drive in it. It booted up fine but didnt go to dashboard it went to a white box containing : Can't read the update from your Xbox 360 Hard Drive. Please reattach it. Your console will automatically restart and continue the update.

This error occurs if your console has been tampered with or modified. Your console has been banned from Xbox LIVE and can no longer connect to Xbox LIVE, install software updates, or play new games that require a console software update. Learn about Xbox LIVE console bans.

You sure it is a JTAG because it doesnt have the wiring and I bought it second hand so even if it is a JTAG then it wasnt me who updated it. Is there any way of fixing this so i can atleast boot the dashboard?

The old person that had it probly tried updating it with an old lt+ firmware on it. If you try doing that it gives you that error.
Your screwed.
