Just want to know what's up with the new halo, just starting to get into it, hear its going to be awesome

Well pretty much, it takes place right after Halo 3 where Chief and Cortana are lost in space and heading towards a mysterious planet (Which is Requiem). Halo 4 will be featuring a new class of enemies, and will be the start of a new Trilogy. (So we will see Halo 5, and Halo 6)
If you'd really like to get into the Halo Story line a little more I suggest you play Halo CE - Halo 3 as well as Read the Halo Novels, I personally haven't read the novels but a lot of people say they're great books.
