ok my bad u worded it earlier as if the disk drive was the issue... it was ur iso u corrupted it some how, you dont need to buy new disks memorex is fine if u need help i can make the disk for you on team viewer or u can find a youtube tutorial

Alright your making this difficult for me to help this guy. Based on your experiences you say Memorex is fine. Great! Memorex works for some people, but not all. Depends on your disc drive. If you do research there is a lot of people that have problems hotswaping with memorex discs. I also had the problem. I did everything 100% correctly with the Memorex and it still ended up failing. I then found out Verbatim is much better so I ordered some. Did the exact same steps and it worked. I have working Evades 3.0 Script online. I tried 4 Memorex discs. Even cleaned the laser on my drive. Still didn't work. I know memorex works fine on some games. That's why I bought a 50 pack of em. However, when it comes to GTA IV Verbatim is everyones best bet.

Haha as long as any disk has 8.5 gb and the correct run speed it will work, its not the disk and FYI ur not helping any one the only thing ur doing is making someone go out and spend more money... i kno my shi!t... so back off newbie

when hotswapping an iso even the slightest hair line scratches can effect installation. it is very sensitive during this process when it comes to reading to install discs. the discs used to mod with are alot more easier to mess up compared to actual xbox games, because xbox games have been treated. this could be your problem. i have encountered this problem many times due to just laying the iso disc on my carpet floor, and even putting it in and out of a cd case. even if your mod is messed up the xbox will still install it because it does not know any better it just reads the game. you will know if your iso is corrupted if it does not load the game/freezes. hope this helped wish you best of luck

Bad or corrupt ISO you didn't burn it right.

You refuse to get the point and it's very frustrating.
Memorex work for some people, such as yourself, but not everyone. Your disc drive's laser handles memorex better then most peoples drives.
If memorex worked all the time for EVERYONE like you proclaim, then why did mine fail? I did everything how it was supposed to be done. Did a little research found out that memorex is cheaper. Bought a Verbatim pack. Did the EXACT SAME thing as I did with memorex. And what do you know it WORKED....

For some people it's the other way around Verbatim's wont work and Memorex will. It all depends on the drive. Since Memorex's arn't working so well for him he needs to try Verbatims
And yes I am helping this person. He is having the same problem I had. So please **** off.

The guy in the end says the Verbatim worked and installed, but he messed up his disc due to some handling problems he had. There's also a few people that will enforce my point explaining to him how to fix his problem.

What does you downloading games and using memorex have anything to do with this guys drive not being capable of using memorex? Same for me and others that can't use memorex 100% of the time.
