For those who don't know, this is a method on getting free 48 hour trial by changing your locale to Japan, downloading a game called MHF 3 (apparently only available to those in Japan?) and when you start the game, you get a 48 hour code, along with a code that involves the game.

I've been doing this, but I'm not sure if you can get banned. (I haven't)

No, you cannot get suspended for using that method I don't believe. Maybe if you were exploiting something more expensive, e.g. Microsoft points.
