Hello all.

I just decided to try out Tekkit, so I started up a server and we'll see how it goes. I've never run a tekkit server before, so I'll need some suggestions for plugins, etc.

The server can be reached at mc.bukkithost.com

Just an update, this server is running Tekkit 3.1.1, so if you're having issues connecting, make sure that's the version you're running.

I was having issues connecting at first because I was running an older version.

I keep getting a message when joining the server (I am new to Tekkit today) the message says: Must have forge build #136+ (4096 fix) to connect to this server

Any idea how to resolve this?

On the tekkit launcher, go to options, and in the top right corner there should be an option to chose your version. There should be an option that looks like "3.1.1 | 1.2.5"

Select that and update, then you should be able to join.

It should make you update when you do that, a which point you should be able to connect.
