"High-quality" by Youtube standards is still not up to my requirements. You will not get high-quality audio off of Youtube using any ripper or downloader.

Actually, you're technically doubly degrading the sound quality regardless. Regular 240p videos have audio that's 60kbps, which is horrendous. What you're doing even by downloading the "high quality" version is getting a 256kbps (or whatever) version of a 60kbps song. That sounds good, but let me break it down. Have you ever shrunken a picture in Paint and then tried to make it bigger again? Looks pretty bad doesn't it? Well you're doing the same thing with the Youtube files. You're looking at downloading a file that's 60kbps. You'd have to download an uncompressed version of the song to get the original quality. By downloading a 256kbps version of it, you're technically downloading an incredibly crappy file.
Oh, and even 720P isn't that great. Its audio bitrate is 152kbps.

I only pay for my music if I'm gonna get a song or two. If I'm gonna get a whole album, I just pay for it.
