I think Halo knows by now that main characters that aren't Master Chief fail. Look at ODST, and Reach. People want Master Chief, if they get rid of him, series is done

Obviously they are making on to the chiefs story. If you didnt notice in the trailer he wakes up in the same dam ship he entered at the end of halo 3.

I know that I was wanting 2 know if he would die some point in the halo 4 game

I put emphasis on the engines design because you there wasnt much more that had to changed with the one they already had they announced that they are scrapping the engine and making everything in a whole new way basically stating "Hey were making OUR change to Halo" which in then turn they announced that they are starting a whole new story in addition to where Halo 3 left off... and kid just because they have ex-bungie staff doesnt mean they're controlling how the game will turn out if you havent been paying attention which is obvious, all the lead roles are being done by 343/afinity(may not be actual name) but my point stands clear 343 is creating a whole new story starting off from where Halo 3 left.

The Halo 3 ending in space and no one knowing he was still out there gives anyone a MASSIVE array of storys to choose from...

I think I know what you mean as they are making their own story. You mean that they are making their own twist into John's story correct? They aren't making their own story. They are just adding onto the Halo fiction. I know you are going to call me a kid jumping onto the Halo bandwagon if you ever read this and/or reply but I am not. I have been playing Halo since the beginning and I know as much about the story as the next guy, probably more because I read the novels and I'm not sure if the next guy does or doesn't. Though I would take you a lot seriously if you let other people say what they want to say and just educate them instead of raging at them. Also another word of advice, make your posts more structured and understandable. I couldn't really grasp what you are trying to say with 343i is making a whole new story, either you mean they are adding onto John's story, or something else entirely. But really they are just adding onto the Halo universe's fiction, just like every other Halo game, novel, comic, and any other form of media.
