Why would i pay 99 cents-$2 for a song when i can get it free?

I used to when music was "good", now most of the music is bad so and i don't feel like supporting bad artists.

Part of the reason I don't buy music is because of the label. I'd rather support the artist more directly by going to their shows, buying merch, and spreading word about them.

The day I can pick up vinyl LPs of artists I like for a reasonable price at a location near me is the day I will buy music again.

To support the artist. If nobody will pay the artist for his work, then he would have to get another job.

Well i do because mostly i listen to music off youtube so i'm still technically paying for it.
