Just got my account banned from Xbox Live Support for "Impersonating Xbox Live Staff". Yeah, I told kids they'd get banned unless their moms got on the mic. It worked, but now I'm paying the price. I've never been banned before, can I just make a new account? Do I have to buy Gold again?

If it was just a profile ban you can make a new account. If it is a console ban, no you can't you would have to get another console.
And yes if you made another profile you would have to buy gold again.

what sucks even more i got my 250GB SLIM BANNED that is 300 dollers down the drain i can only use it offline...sucks-----ps3 all the way
