My $200 Thinkpad T500 loads webpages just as fast as my $1100 custom PC I just built with an i5 3570K (Overclocked), 8GB RAM (HEAVILY overclocked), an AMD 7950 (overclocked as well), and a minimal installation of Firefox with everything configured the same as the one on my T500. The laptop has a Core 2 Duo and is nearly 4 years old. Both are wired connections to the same router.

Don't understand a word you said because I don't let my life revolve around computers. Just from using the mac and the all in one I can tell the all in one loads faster RIGHT NOW that maybe because it is brand new and my mac is a year old I'm not to sure. If I start to dislike the computer I can switch back to my mac and even if the mac is faster. I don't think it makes all that much of a difference when all you do is use internet on the computer. I don't think spending money on a custom built computer is worth it if all your going to do is surf on the internet. Is it?

I hope I can let my life revolve around computers, I want this to be a career.

If you like the all-in-one, you like it. I'm can't tell you what you like, and I don't know all the variables that could play a part in making your browsing performance worse on the Mac. I could if I was there to see both, but I'm not. Agreed, there's no point in building a high-end PC for browsing. Good thing I didn't. All I know is that in terms of performance, quality, and versatility, you traded down.

Downvoting me now? Cute.

That's a shame. It's a fun thing to do on the side and can provide and open a lot of jobs in the field in the future.

That comment is almost as stupid as saying 'X' professional basketball player is a loser because all he does is let the NBA revolve around his life.

r00t's right.

I realize that being good with computers can get you a really good job and computers are fun. I just don't know that much about computers.

Saying you have 4GB of RAM and a 500GB harddrive tells me almost nothing about your computer.
