Minnesota_Nice wroteTune wrote I like how all of these arguments started over a guy that felt like telling the people of TTG he bought a Mac.
Everyone always says Macs are overpiced pieces of **** so I find it fun to argue with people who have never used one and are just going off the fact that their parents wont buy the one.
I find it funny too, like a computer is a computer. Who cares what you think about Macs, who cares what you think about Windows PCs, they all do the same thing. lmao
You guys need to grow up.

Minnesota_Nice wroteIntel_2500k wroteMinnesota_Nice wroteIntel_2500k wroteMinnesota_Nice wrote I highly doubt that, and our computers are built into our monitors except on our Mac Pros and Minis.
You couldn't convince me to switch from Apple if you tried, like I said.
Macs are still overpriced garbage. I have to refuse to fix the new MacBook Airs since the battery is GLUED to the laptop. You can't upgrade it, if 16GB RAM is the new standard, than you need a new MacBook Air. iMacs are the worst investment ever, Mac Pros, are horrible, Mac Servers? If you go in to a hosting comapany you will not see 1 mac, they are terrible for a hosting company.
Well I don't have a Server at my hosting company because I don't work at one, I work at a Graphics Firm. Macs might be overpriced but they are not garbage, every iMac at our firm looks almost new and so far from what I've heard no one has had a computer issue, there isn't a mess of cables everywhere, plenty of wireless accessories, the file sharing system from mac to mac trumps that of windows, and they look GOOD.
You aren't giving me any arguments you are just saying "They are the worst thing ever".
Never said you worked at a hosting company.
Easy to hide cables on a PC, just use zipties, if you say that's a waste of time, you're lazy.
Wireless is sh*t.
Filezilla
Lian-Li cases look better than any Mac.
Filezilla? Why would I need that when it's built right into my Mac? Wireless isn't sh*t you are simply using biased opinions to counter my arguments, and the thing is I don't have to hide cables on my computers because there aren't that many to start with. Once again, Lian-Li cases in your opinion look good, I just checked them out and they look obnoxious.
Wireless = Latency
Not many cables on my PC either.
Better looking cases:

Wireless might = latency but it's also awfully handy when I can pick up my Mac Book and walk three doors down the office to show other people working at the firm what I'm doing without unhooking cables and loosing my connection.
It's not like I'm gaming on my Mac Book and editing my stupid CoD videos on a pirated copy of Sony Vegas, I'm actually working. It's perfect for PS, AI, ID, and DW. The OS is nice and sleek, and my workflow on a PC is way worse than it is on my Mac.

Zilla wrote Mac -> pre-built, great industrial design, UNIX operating system with free developer tools for a wide variety of languages included with the operating system. Runs pretty much any open source software for *nix systems (including just about all software that runs on Linux systems), large parts of the OS are open source. Generally uses established open standards under the hood with an easy-to-use GUI tool for regular users.
Wintel machine -> You have to research carefully when building or buying since everyone claims their machine/component is the greatest thing since sliced bread, Operating system that is the damn offspring of VMS and OS/2 with some MS-DOS legacy crap baked in, if you want the full-fledged developer tools from the OS manufacturer you have to pay hundreds of dollars for them or settle for free alternatives. Operating system is almost completely proprietary. Frequently uses proprietary MS-only "standards" or extensions to standards that make the implementation incompatible with other operating systems.
Double the price? really?
Ok, prove it. Find me a pre-built PC with the following specs for less than $999 (half the price of the equivalent mac ):
Quadcore i5, 3.1GHz
27" IPS monitor @ 2560x1440 resolution
4 GB 1333MHz RAM (expandable to at least 16 GB)
Radeon HD 6970M 1 GB
(Here's a hint: the 27" monitor alone will cost you $700+)
And my case has been rested.
$300 Catleap monitors. IPS panel with 2560 x 1440p resolution.

It just baffles me to death watching all these 12 year old kids complaining which computer is the best.
Doesn't matter what computer you get, as long as you are satisfied with what you got and it best suits your needs.
Just because iMac's are $3,000 USD, doesn't mean you can hate/discriminate them. They are very good computers and well worth the money. Most famous YouTubers use iMacs. So don't hate on something you just don't understand. I have a iMac with Windows 7 software. I can just boot up Windows 7 any time I want to on my iMac. Windows computer is very great.
So go ahead, dislike my comment, but just remember that all of you guy's iPhones are made by the same company that makes the iMac, which you all are discriminating about.
Same principle goes for other merchandise sold on the market. Look at North Face Jackets, they're what? $200 for adult size and $100 for children? Yet, you can buy a similar jacket, made out of the same materials, for only $20-$50. This is simple knowledge. This is what the society is all about. It depends on where the item you are buying is coming from. It's not a big deal.

They buy them because they are clueless and get tricked into top notch marketing, not because they are a superior product.

Once again, depends what you use them for.
Apple is marketed towards artists. The new Mac Book Pro is a photographers dream.

Best joke of the day, my friend. Also, for future reference, I'm 17.
