Free health care is amazing.
Yeah for poor people. I don't want to pay for your health care with my tax dollars. If you can't afford it you shouldn't get it is my theory.
If someone were to develop a life-threatening disease in which the treatment for it costs a lot of money, but this person is going through tough times and does not have the money to pay for his/her treatment, should the person just die?
And to Strobe: I live in Canada, and while the waiting times are longer to what you would find in the U.S., if you need treatment, you will honestly get that treatment.
You realize you are paying for your treatment every year in tax payer dollars right? Even if you do or do not ever visit the doctor all year you are paying for it. It's flat out dumb. I gurantee you anyone can get money from loans or welfare (not that i like that at all), but the point is it can be done.

Minnesota_Nice wrote That is exactly what I just said.
A person should be able to get the treatment that he/she deserves even if they are poor/working-class. It shouldn't matter how much money you have in order to get treatment, as these people that you say should die have families, friends and lives. No one should die due to lack of money. The current health care system in the U.S. benefits the rich and hurts the poor/middle-class, and it is not fair for the people who aren't rich. Next time, think about other people besides yourself.

I do not care that Great Britain has free health care, it doesnt effect me. But it was the fact they were promoting it to the world, and all they did in the ceremony was promote the UK. It was all about London which isnt what the olympics is about.

Both my parents came from squat and they worked their eay into college with no money, got jobs, and got chemical engineering degrees. They worked their way to having money and waited to have kids till they were 30 and now they are in a very nice financial spot.
And he wasnt saying they dont deserve care, but that we should not have to pay for their care because 95% of the people on free health care go to the doctor for a runny nose and we have to pay for that.
If they truly need help, run a donation and i would help pay for them if they seriously needed treatment

Strobe wroteI Think you will find they actually promoted multiple countries because they were showing what history was like in Britain, Not to mention the Victorian times where they had children smelting the Olympic rings.Kaizo wroteStrobe wroteYour going to cause a flame war! Everyone has different stories as to how they are either financially stable, or financially un-stable, especially in this economy. No one goes to the doctor for just a runny nose. A persistent one that after a few weeks won't go away sure. I'm afraid if a person truly needs healthcare, and cannot afford it, it is not as easy as running a donation. You're telling me that you would help pay for the hundreds of thousands of people in your country in the situation I described in my previous posts? Even if there is a fund, what happens if they do not reach the required amount to save the person? Then what, does he just die?
