Nothing is wrong with it. They can't say that anyway because the devil is in the same religion as God. You don't believe in God, therefore you don't believe in the devil (so you can't be Satanist.) They are just the type of people that love shoving their beliefs down others throats. Just be you and let them get mad at whatever. They are just miserable people anyway.

You're thinking of satanic. Atheist:It can mean that you feel certain that there is not a god and do not believe: this is a strong atheist. Or it can also mean that you don't really care either way if there is a god and you don't participate in any religious rituals.

Its your choice to pick your Religion.

That means you are undecided. Maybe he has made up his mind and doesn't believe, that is Atheist. He shouldn't have to call himself something that he isn't. Atheist, Agnostic, Christian, Hindu, Buddist, Satanist, and Muslim all sound the same to me.
