To import a Minecraft plugin that won't work with Steve's plugin manager, you're going to have to log into your server using SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) and view your files. This is a fairly easy process, so don't fear!
Alright, time to get that SFTP info:
- Go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and log in using your client information that you also use to log into [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- Next to your server, click the padlock icon
- A page should now appear with all your SFTP log in information. Do not close it!
- Save this information somewhere, you won't be able to get it again without resetting it by clicking the 'padlock' twice
Now its time to log into SFTP:
- Go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and download Filezilla for your computer
- Open up Filezilla, and follow these instructions on how to access your server via SFTP - use the information you gained from the first steps to log in - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Now we need to upload your plugin(s):
- Stop your server by going to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and clicking 'stop' next to your server
- Now, go back to Filezilla and click through your folders until you find one called 'plugins'
- Now, simply drag n' drop your .jar plugin files into that folder
- Start your server again and we're done!
Test what plugins are installed by:
- Logging into [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and clicking 'plugin manager' - the ones you've just installed should now say "manually installed" next to them
- Log into your server and type /plugins (or go to your Steve console and just type plugins) in chat - your newly installed plugins should be listed with all the others.
