if the recon button on bungie.net was still operating then that method would work but its not.you need the mythic disk to get recon.

You have to just wait, they are giving Recon out in waves that could take up to a month. There have been millions of people that signed onto Halo 3, and they're giving recon to all of them.. so as I said before, just wait.
