OP, you can't defend your purchase because it was a terrible one. You didn't even get the only Macbook halfway worth owning, the Retina model. It's only a few hundred bucks more, and clearly you don't place much value on money so it shouldn't have been a big deal. It was a mistake to buy a Mac in the first place, and then you added insult to injury by buying the wrong one. You made the wrong wrong choice, and now you're going to try and convince yourself you didn't. This always ends up the same way, and from what I can tell you don't even know how to make arguments for Macs like regular Mac fanboys (even if they're completely ridiculous).

Also, you bought a laptop of this price with:

-A 1280x800 resolution
-No SSD
-A 5400 RPM Boot drive (HAHAHA)
-No SSD
-NO SSD
-NO SSD
-NO SOLID-STATE DRIVE

TL;DR: Enjoy your $1,700 Facebook experience, OP. You won't enjoy the pain of buyer's remorse that you know you feel, though. We know you feel it, too.

You can always take it back, though. Nobody will think any lesser of you.

I love my Mac Book Pro, every one here hates because they think it's all about getting the best for your money and having some gaming machine.

I wouldn't trade my Mac Book Pro for anything, I love it.

If it's gaming someone wants, it's gaming they should get. Even if you're not gaming, it doesn't change the fact that there are better choices than Macs.
