Hi im building my first ever custom build. Its just a trial so im not buying crazy $$ parts yet. I have an old dell c521 - which still has the power supply - disk drive - graphics card can I insert them in my new case will this work? Also how do I know what motherboard will connect to my graphics card and dell disk drive.
Any help much appreciated.

Yes, the graphics card will fit as there are only 2 connections PCI x4 and PCI x16 (I think).
List the specs of the parts, i may be able to help more.

Hi thanks for getting back to me. To let you know what I plan to do. I got a custom case. The old dell pc I had f*cked up because the motherboard went - so im planning to use a few components out of the dell to my custom to lower my budget i.e the power supply and dvd write - ill buy extra ram - proccesor etc.
The power supply model is L280P - 01
DVD WRITER TS-H653
I think the old motherboard is REV A03.
if that helps any.
Thanks for your reply.

lol well im going to buy a new motherboard - processor - and some ram. But the thing I was worried about was the dell graphics card wouldnt be compatable with the new motherboard or the power supply would not have enough power lol etc etc.
