With today's technology and media, could a rebellion occur in the US?
---Imagine a group [Total # of people: 40,000] (say rebel group in Louisiana) led by an ex-SEAL operative. After months of spreading the word of a rebellion to other local southern states to launch the same take over. He gets the local county in a secret agreement, along with fellow teammates from his previous team, along with elite hackers and inside people from a nearby air force base. They launch a covert attack to take the local base, and gain control of air superiority in the local area and the state's latest weaponry. Now you essentially occupy say Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina under a rebel attack, with a total of about 300,000+ fighting in the homeland against the US. With the help of possibly other countries secretly aiding you with anti-air and weapons, the US would take drastic measures. Tell me what you think.
