Make sure the card is screwed in correctly and is properly aligned with the PCIE brackets on the case. Uninstall old video card drivers if applicable before installing new card. Turn on PC, go to the official Nvidia website and get the latest drivers. Download Speccy and make sure the temperatures are fine.

Is it a good card? Sure, maybe 3 years ago. It's not a significant performance increase over integrated graphics running off of your CPU.

I have the exact card as of now, it's.. pretty terrible, I can't even play MW2 in max settings without crap frame rate so as far as gaming goes it's quite low end.

It is not really a good gaming gpu. Depends what you are planning on doing with it. Don't expect anything special from this.

For future reference, the higher the number does not mean it's better, first number is generation, second performance level, 3rd (for amd cards) variation.

Btw, I would go with AMD with gpus. They beat just about every NVIDIA card out there. Although NVIDIA has some great cards, the AMD conterparts beat them every time.

i myself use an AMD card but your statement is incorrect Nvidia doesnt have as many driver problems however they are more expensive AMD is usually better till a new Nvidia card comes out is known to be first to the punch

AMD doesn't have driver issues if you don't get a x7xx.
