yes there is just keep trying and don't go into multiplayer for a while after you change your rank

I've gotten this error on PS3 many times, but I have found a way that usually fixes it. You get this error by going down prestiges or lowering your stats, and the only way to get the error to not pop up is to leave your xbox on overnight, after you have your desired prestige, level, and stats. This fixes it because sometime throughout the night, the game overwrites the ones on the server with your current stats, and then the error won't pop up.
