I just got my HD PVR and there aren't that many cons
Cons: Can't use an HDMI cable or you have to buy a HDMI coverter, Cord for computer not that long
Pros: Amazing Quality, Good sound, doesn't affect gameplay, looks cool when recording

will i be able to record my voice using just the pvr? or do i have to do some weird set up?

to do commentaries all you need is a mic for your computer and to do "Lets plays" just talk to the people over skype and record it then edit the voice in the video I don't have a mic for my computer when i'm getting a laptop and i'll be able to if you need any questions add me on xbox

is there any other easy way to record voice instead of over skype and matching it up?

Yes, you can use audacity and start it the same time you start recording, that way you just literally put both tracks starting at the same time and the voice will be lined up. As for recording in game voice, you have to play the sound through the TV. So go into preferences and click "Play through both" in the voice options.

If you want good quality then get an elgato, less wires and better quality, small file size so faster uploads
