So today I tries to restore my computer (advent) to its factory settings by repeatedly tapping F8 whilst booting.
This usually works, however this time it didn't, I was tapping and it gave me a menu which said repair windows or something like that. Which it usually does then I pressed enter on it and just takes me to my desktop.
Any idea how I can retort my computer without a disk? Will +rep

Ok if your running windows 7 you need to go to the start button [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Search Restore and click it.

this should pop up.

Try searching for Advent Recovery tools on your system. Usually with the latest PCs, there will be a built-in program which will allow you to create a Recovery DVD for Malware purposes or if your "F8" option doesn't work as yours has done to you. When you have foud the Recovery software, insert a blank DVD and get burning! After when the burning process is finished and the program has verified your DVD, then reboot your computer (with the new recovery DVD in it). This new Recovery disc will grant you your wishes by Restoring your computer to Factory settings. I hope this works for you
