My hauppage hdpvr gaming edition is in 1080p... o__0
No it's not. The HDPVR can only record to 1080i max. Component only goes up to 1080i, and the HD PVR doesn't support HDMI (1080p+)
I have HDMI and component cables, so it can record in 1080p and no higher.. That's what their support said...
No Happauge HDPVR supports HDMI directly. Only Elgato and BlackMagic Intensity does. Even if you have a Component cable to HDMI converter, since the max resolution of component is 1080i, the max resolution you are going to be able to achieve is 1080i. Even then, it still doesn't matter about the resolution. Try recording and playing in 720p, as it's second best next to 1080p.

No no no. The recording itself is fine. Infact, it runs smoother than my tv.
