This is pretty awesome stuff.
I would love to see how this progresses and if it is able to progress.

... However why do I feel as because we're human beings... we're going to abuse it like hell if it does develop further?

I'm kinda confused. They basically found a way to freeze time then resume it? O.o I'm confused someone explain.

to everyone wondering i think they mean that time cloaking is where the event is active while all other things around them are frozen

No everything around them still continues but anything within the area affected by the cloak is invisible to people outside of it because there is no light being given off because of the disconnect in the speed of the light beam
