so i recorded 8 mins of a game and its 1 gb ? is there anyway i can make it less ? a 1 hour film is only 700mb ! please help

I am assuming you are using an HD PVR if so you can turn down the bitrate in total media extreme, it is under the format settings or something. If you still want to keep the same quality and or you are not using an HD PVR (As in a Dazzle, Black magic, easycap, etc) you can use a program I use as an editor called Handbrake : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
It is an AMAZING software that lets you compress almost any type of video file and keep the same quality it is also probably why that movie is only 700mb.

There is no possible way to reduce the raw file size, so you should re render it with your editing and stuff in Sony Vegas to an .MP4 file and it will be reduced drastically in size.

i had sony vegas but the trial has gone :L im not paying 400 odd GBP for it ! do you know how i can get a serial key free ?
