Number 2 is true, but will be resolved. People already are taking measures to mass produce clean drinking water from Ocean water (using the process of distillation but in larger quantities) but WWIII might be fought over water.

If we don't kill ourselves humans can only exist for another 9000 years or so as some scientists estimate

We aren't gonna run out of water for sure, they found a HUGE lake spanning 2 African countries recently underground.
But food? Looks like we're gonna need to kill off a few people
I'd say people in less populated areas who can grow their own food will be better off

Theology wroteUm i'm pretty sure in a few hundred years we won't be on the earth but rather on other planets.ManlyPenguins wroteDpunkz wrote 1) We have overpopulated the world. The earth simply cannot sustain 7 billion (and counting) people.
.
Right there i stopped reading who says we have overpopulated we have never ran out of food water or anything for that matter we have never got close to overpopulating state and we never will period
What do you mean?
There has never been this many people on Earth at one time. Ever.
You're saying that if we keep going like we are then when the population reaches 50 Billion in a few hundred years, we will still have food to go around?
I have support for this for a few reasons.
1. We are already at a technological high-end. Seeing as how we already have laser technology that can blow up a missile in flight so i say in the next 2 or 3 generations we will have laser weapons to fight wars.
2. We are already close to colonizing Mars which we will most likely be going there to colonize Mars in the next 50 or so years.
So i highly doubt that the human race will go extinct soon.

Political corruption and stupidity have always existed and always will exist. We can rule that out. Warfare is the same. Sure, we've gotten better at killing more people faster, but that won't ever lead to extinction.
I don't get number three. But you have to realize a lot of countries are disheveled not because of location, but because of leaders. We can give tons of supplies, but that would give a will to the people, and that is not wanted by those in charge so they find a means to destroy hope for aid as often as possible. Assassinating corrupt leaders would lead to another world war. There's more to that but I'll let you rep
Oh, that kind of answered number two. And humans will always be stupid and distracted by other things. That hasn't kept us from progressing this much in such a short amount of time.
For number one, we've been consuming GMOs since the nineties. They've been thoroughly tested. And much more is being tested that we aren't aware of. You can't genuinely believe that scientists aren't aware of the growing population and aren't working on a way to sustain it.
As for overpopulation, that answer's less clear. I highly doubt we can colonize another country for practical reasons, such as creating a new atmosphere among some other reasons I'm to tired to think of. But we aren't giving the human race enough credit.
