So, Im getting into xbox customizations. What are some good ideas? im looking more into hardware than software modifications such as upgrading RAM, upgrading CPU, Installing SSD instead of external hdd, as well as case mods, water cooling, ect. i made this thread to allow TTG to be a part in the brainstorming process. as gamers and techies, what do you guys want in your console. feel free to post your ideas and ill see if i can make them happen and employ them in my designs.
on a completely unrelated note, does anybody have iHC James files for his unlock all lobby? thanks for all posts in advance

that is where you are incorrect. there are already a handfull of people who have upgraded RAM on the Xbox 360 via desoldering old ram chips and soldering a different, more powerful ram chip on. though i am not entirely sure on what all needs done to get this to work or the benefits from doing so, it has proven to be possible. CPU im not to sure about, i have heard it is possible but i personally haven't been able to completely comprehend how it would work. like i said, this post is for ideas on how to maximize the 360s performance in ways that Microsoft either overlooked or chose not to invest in due to it being an unnecessary and cutting into their profit margin. if you have any ideas on how this would be possible and have any constructive ideas, feel free to post. otherwise, **** yourself.

Consoles have FIXED hardware which means if you go around changing stuff it wont work. Don't let my post count throw you off, Im going to collage to be come a electrical engineer, I KNOW what im talking about. Plus do you even have the tools to unsolder a RAM chip from the MOBO. No probably not.

use google. I'm sure you can find whatever it is that I saw. like I said I was sceptical of the CPU and I am not claiminging to understand everything I am talking about. when i mentioned RAM and CPU upgrades it was only for clarification purposes. to point posts in the direction of actual hardware upgrades and not other things. instead of picking apart my brainstorming process and telling me how stupid I am maybe you should try brainstorming constructive ideas. trolling on forums and flaunting your knowledge of things you are in or plan on going to school for is meaningless. if you have no plans on being a productive part of this process then I sincerely ask that you don't comment on this just to rise your post count. I never said you don't know more than me in this area. honestly I'm 17 years old and tinkering in electronics to see what I can get it to do and see if I can better an already great console. I'm already into Jtagging, repairing via reflow and reball, as well as custom casing, custom cuts on cases, water cooling, etc. so instead of telling me what I dont know, how about throwing an idea out there for me to work with. what are your thoughts on a RAM upgrade if it was possible? or what about an SSD in something like a jtag that could run that type of storage device? let's hear some of your knowledgable insight and give me an idea to play with instead of trying to flex your cyber muscles and prove the world that you can out trash talk any teenage wannabe hacker on TTG.

Get over your self, Im not show off or boosting any thing im just sharing my knowledge with out but if you want to be a puck ass and try to make me look bad I wont help you.

alright let's try this again. im looking to modify Xbox 360 consoles and am looking for some ideas. some ideas that have came up in previous conversations were upgrading the ram or possibly the CPU though I'm not fully aware of how this would work. another thought that came up was installation of a solid state drive (SSD) which could decrease load times but i have heard conflicting reports on how effective this really is. I have the equipment for whatever you can suggest and have a couple boards to test on. could you or anybody else on ttg for that matter brainstorm some ideas for an improvement that could be made? I'm just a kid so I don't have the technological understanding that I'm sure some of you who arnt leeches have and I would appreciate any constructive feedback. Trollin, I'm sorry for jumping on your case, though your response to my first post could have been worded to teach me and not to point out how worthless my ideas were. It's obvious you know something about electronics so I would appreciate your feedback and ideas

that actually is an interesting addition. 2 disk trays that is. but what exactly would be the benifit? I mean sure aesthetically of you could pull it off it would look badass but what could 2 disk trays do that one couldn't? and how would it decipher which one to read if say there was a disk in each? it's an interesting idea. I'll look into it for sure. who managed to do it? is he on TTG or just a random guy? and water cooled is already possible it is just expensive, running 300-400 dollars in parts. I was thinking an Xbox with blacklight LEDs in the RF board ( power button ) as well as Blacklight UV colored water in the water cooled Xbox. on top of that a double sided window mod to allow you to see the water piped through and illuminate the case with a purple hue. but yeah, two disk trays, definatly a thought to test out and explore options.
