Hey, No need to be like that? There's not a huge difference between them?

Component cables = 720p HD

HDMI = 1080p HD

I'm using the component cables (green and blue wires) and have it on 1080p now though.

I used HDMI once and it just looked worse to me, plus I couldn't get the sound to come out of my stereo system. I just stayed with the component cables since it looked better and I have my sound.

HDMI is better quality but unless you get a good quality cable i.e. an exspensive one then you will have more of a delay from when you press a button on your controller to the movement on the screen, this can put you at a disadvantage when playing competative games such as fps games so it is upto you, spend the extra money and have better quality or stick with good quality and less delay

i am speaking from experience and research here, im not just bullshitting
