Not once did I even say gaming. The thing is, you can get something better and more reliable for the same cost if not cheaper whilst having more options in regards to customization from the start.

You really would not need more than an i3-2100 then. Getting an expensive CPU is throwing money at a problem that doesn't exist.

For what he intends to do with it, the core components like the CPU is quite overkill. He could spend $50 on a G550 and $100 on a Crucial M4 SSD and it'll be generally 3 x faster at tasks for a fraction of the cost.

I also dont want to deal with the parts. I want to buy it prebuilt. Thats my preference
