No one can predict when the world is going to end. North Korea could set off a nuke in 5 minutes and boom, no one predicted anything. Scientists have proved that the Mayan Calendar didn't include leap year, and with the leap year included, the world should have ended a few years ago. Many predictions have been made and they have all been false. What makes 2012 so special?

The Mayans were smart. But, there's a big difference between being smart and somehow knowing how the entire future of America would lead to a corrupt Government which would do 'something' to impact the entire world.

Unless they had a time machine.
Even if they did, I doubt that a couple of Mayans would appear in the white house, go through some files, get this information, go back to their time and not write it down on some stone tablets.
