Again, a bad choice. Don't go for any FX CPU.
For the price i paid it's not bad i just got it as an i5 equivalent
Lol, it doesn't even compare to an i5. The i3-2100 slays the entire FX line of CPU's.
yeah it doesn't. we've been over this. It doesn't perform as good as i5, but it's not as bad as i3.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . Go to the bottom and look at the games, the i3 out performs the FX in every single game.
EDIT: actually it doesn't for SC2.

This becnchmark speaks volumes. If you're constantly using heavily-threaded applications, it's worth considering the FX CPU to an extent. If not, get the i3. 95% of the time the i3 is the better choice. You have other benchmarks to show the i3 is better for things that don't use the threads.

I might get an aftermarket heatsink, IF I ever get any game(s) that are system intensive ( I doubt I will), but I think that's it, tell me if i missed anything, i might have
Get a different CPU, mobo and add an SSD
thanks for the help, what CPU do you suggest? Preferably a cheap (100-200 dollars) intel i5 or i7. The motherboard, however I won't change (that is, unless i find a better one.). It has all I need. The G1 Assassin from gigabyte (I think) is similar, but it is too expensive. And, what SSD do you recommend?
P.S.- Sorry If this counts as gravedigging
EDIT: Also, forgot to mention, I do YouTube videos. I need a powerful processor, any i5/i7 for a decent price.
EDIT 2: I am stupid. I didn't realize I would have to get a new motherboard for an intel processor, looking for a decent one now

manwinder wrote i would look at other sites and price compare at the checkout part or where ever u can do it. Also slow down on the ram, i do some gaming but i do alot of video editing and photoshop stuff, i am ok with 8 GB, but sometimes it would help with 16 when doing 3d ****. but save some money go 8.
I might get 12. I record videos for youTube, so I need a good amount, if it makes a difference for render times

You are the perfect example of what NOT TO DO with $1000 for a build.
