I will never own one either, but to say they are a bad breed is stupid. I do think they are more prone to being violent, but if you raise it right it will be a great dog.

BUT! Pits are born vicious when there past generations fought even if the one that was just born doesn't. Fighting slowly begins to become instinctive as more generations pass of the dogs being trained to fight. Just like Border Collies instinctively herd. Its not by chance they herd, they where originally trained to do it and it became embedded as an instinct.
Dont get me wrong most pitbulls are very sweet
