1.Dig all the way down to bedrock
2.Use your pick axe to dig around you
3.Then if you dig round for a few mins you should find diamond
Always works for me

Or just dig to bed rock then go up 5 space from bed rock and do a 3x3 cave ALWAYS find diamond ive found 30+ diamond from doing that for 30 minutes. Good luck!

Actually, Diamonds aren't that common at Bedrock. They are more likely to be found at layer 15.
