The story of Dead space 3 follows isaac and ellie on a space craft, years after the sprawl incident in which they first met. They stubble across and seemingly deserted frozen planet named tau volantis. Once there they search the 'deserted' planet and find the ruins of another planetcracker ship. Realizing that these miners had found the "source" of the Markers, they meet Sgt. John Carver and crash-land on the frigid planet; however, Ellie is separated from the others in the process. As a result, Isaac resolves to save her along with his original goal of stopping the Markers. Many obstacles the two must face include a new human enemy, Unitologist soldiers; environmental hazards like falling machinery and a giant mining drill; and new variants of Necromorph like the giant insect-like Nexus.

The nexus is a boss you'll get many glipses of in the game.

Description

The Nexus is a very large centipede like Necromorph. It possesses four known limbs which is uses to attack with. The Head is very mantis like and has four eyes separated by a large fleshy opening down its crowned forehead. Its vertically split mandibles when open reveal two large claws and five large pustules which surround its mouth. The chest cavity opens to reveal a large glowing pulsating sac similar to the Hive Mind. During combat it uses four of its long limbs to attack while two blade like arms rest behind the head. The body its self is similar to a Cobra when in a threatened state. Also shown inside the body after Isaac is swallowed, he is attacked by a Nest.

There is many other new bosses that haven't been leaked yet, but will be updated once they are, Dead space 3 will feature bosses from dead space 2 like the Tormentor, brute and stalkers.

At benches now in Dead space 3 you get to experience isaac as an engineer, let you design and build of your own design, only limited by what youve found in the game so far. These now let you upgrade upon your guns combining various attachments to your original gun, like flamthrowers etc.
