Your other dog was naughty because you allowed him to be. Either he assumed he was top dog or you did not give him regular exercise so he had to much energy. I would not suggest getting another dog, if you could not look after your original one.

Get another beagle! I have one but he's not naughty at all. Just be strict with it when its naughty. Beagle's are one of the most loving dogs?
