[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - alternative cases would be the Zalman Z9 / Antec One / Bitfenix Shinobi.

$1,009.89 before the $30 worth of MIR.

Alternative options - 'downgrade' from a 2500k to an i3-2100 and with the money you saved I would purchase a nice 128gb SSD like this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] so it'd make the build more balanced and technically faster whilst doing day to day tasks. The second option I'd recommend looking into is still sticking with the i3-2100 and grabbing a 64gb SSD and a nicer higher end S-IPS / IPS panel. There are like zero good deals on Newegg at this moment in time so the Acer would have to do in the stock configuration. Whatever route you decide to take, it's going to be a fantastic build either way. Yes, I know I did not include a wireless card? Why? Because it's simply ridiculous. If you want one, go ahead...I am just not promoting it, ESPECIALLY when you're wanting to play games and I can only assume there are going to be multi-player.

Awesome case with great construction. MSI Z77 G43 + 2500K + and a solid Hyper 212 is simply unbeatable. The PSU is a great unit and won't limit you on upgrades and overclocking.

That case is not really an upgrade IMO. And yes you should use Windows 7.

Processor - AMD Phenom X2 550 @ 3.42 GHz
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-770T-UD3P
RAM - 4GB DDR1666
Video Card - Sapphire Radeon 4770 1GB
Hard Drive - 250 GB

How would this handle the current games? And don't worry, I'm upgrading the hard drive.

Define probably. Also, you're not running Arma 2 on a $450 budget.

You're throwing money into an outdated build. Whether or not you upgrade the hard drive or not is not going to make it a viable option.
