Well I've run into a bit of a problem...
So I decided I'd take a follower with me on my journey for the first time. Messing around I noticed there was an option to give the follower commands (The follower being the Dark Elf from the College of Winterhold).
Everything seemed fine until I realized I now had a nasty "Wait here" in the middle of my screen the wouldn't go away...
Basically I can't talk to people, I can't open doors or chests or anything because the "Wait here" command superceeds everything else and I can't even dismiss the follower because she's nowhere to be found...
I'm hopping this is a common glitch that has a quick fix...If not I'll probably shelf the game for a month or two.
Anyone got any info?

I'll try my best to get you through this.
1). Have you tried just looking at the ground and activating the "wait here" thing?
2). Have you tried in game waiting? Waiting 1 week in game might do something?
3). (I hate doing this); Have you tried reloading an old save? As much as I hate telling you this, it might be your only choice.
4). Can you attack things? Shout? Anything? If you attack a guard and get arrested, it might glitch out and fix it.

I've used the wait here thing multiple times, to no avail.
I've waited about 2 weeks and again, nothing.
My last save is about three hours of gameplay behind me.
The guard idea....Never would of thought of thanks, I'll try it now.

Yeah you can.
System Settings > Storage Devices > Press Y > Go down on the right stick Twice > Press A > Go up 1 on the right stick > Press A

Try killing the follower, maybe it will go away then.

Yeah you can.

If it would solve this bug I'd kill her in a heartbeat. Truth is the only reason I decided to being her along was because a friend told me she would carry things...
The whole problem with kill her is that...Well I can't find her...
