ebay doesnt sell them anymore so i have no clue where to get them....

You can't just put the DVD drive in your Xbox. You'd need to spoof the DVD key.

Too put into Context, your Disk drive has a Chip on its motherboard, once you have bought a New disk drive you must swap that chip for the One that is on your new Disk Drive, This Chip contains very important codes to make the disks read, the laser work properly etc. each xbox drive has a different chip, but if you swap them then it should work perfectly
