Hey guys, so basically i've brung my sisters old computer upstairs into my bedroom and my birthdays coming up so i was just wondering if i could upgrade this computer so it can play minecraft and other games etc.
im not very good with building/upgrading computers so if you need any more info just tell me ,

& there's a problem with the computer where im just using it and suddenly the whole computer will just turn off, this happens randomly, if there's somehow i can fix this could someone please tell me,

Upgrade your RAM to 3.25 or 4.25 GB, make sure you get the right ram. Maybe upgrade your prossecor again make sure its compatable with your board

I would upgrade the ram and get a better processor too and also just reinstall the OS

It's very old and any significant or worthwhile upgrades would warrant the rest of the parts being replaced. It's either time to use it for what it can do or build a new system.

Like root_beer said, it's too old to upgrade really. It would be the same as build a new PC.

Where are you getting these numbers? This isn't the time of first-gen Core series CPUs, tri-channel memory isn't much of a thing these days anyway.
To answer your question, that computer is simply outdated. A single core celeron can't even launch most games period. It would be worth getting a new machine rather than squeezing the life out of that old thing.
