So Connor is also related to the Assassins?

I'm not sure as to how but yes. If he wasn't, then you wouldn't be playing as him. Seeing as Altair and Ezio are both related to Desmond therefore Connor is too.

Yes he is. He is only half Native American. He is also half European, which is where he ties into being related to Ezio.

Connor's story is brand new, while it is a continuation of Desmond's story. Depending on how they tell Desmond's story in AC3, I can't say for sure if you will be lost or not on that part. I personally feel you should get it anyway. It's going to be a great game and will have a great story even if you didn't play the others.

you fool,, if someone else enters the animus , it could be that person'S ancestors .

it's not desmond anymore, caus when you think about it , the only thing ABSTERGO wanted about desmond was the apple of eden and they didnt get it so its over for desmond story

Assassins creed 3 is linked in with the other assassins creed titles. Hence "3"

An ancestor of Desmond, joined the assassins instead of being born as one.
It's not a direct link to Ezio though, as this is in a different period of time.
