Okay so I read up on Root Beer going on about Macs. Thing is for college (I'm doing graphic design), my parents want to get me a mac, and I can't help but think that it'd be a good idea to get one considering I'll be using one throughout my college courses. Nevertheless, I trust that you will think of something that is equal if not better for the price I have..

****PC Build Request Form****

Budget & Currency: 900 - 1000 GBP.

Peripherals & Monitor: I have a USB mouse, but a matching keyboard and mouse could be nice, as well as a monitor (a potential bonus of a mac here is the monitor is all in one) but yes, monitor keyboard and mouse included in the price.

Games: LOTS of Minecraft, Tekkit servers. Team Fortress 2 are the main ones really. GTA, , Just Cause 2, Blacklight Retribution, that sort of thing too.

Software: Most Adobe programs, Photoshop, After Effects, DreamWeaver, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, Sony Vegas.

Aesthetics: I'm not overly bothered if the case has a window, but I wouldn't mind some LED's (or some form of light) and decent cooling space etc.. It will be on for quite long periods of time.

Rebates/Promos: Please use full price.

Like I said, I play a few games (mainly Minecraft and TF2) but this is more a GFX related computer. I wouldn't mind it being Hackintosh, but either way is great. I will be ordering within the next couple of weeks..

Thank you in advance, +rep for an answer.

Are you sure you wouldn't prefer a laptop for college? A Thinkpad can last you all four years and has a workstation graphics option. You can't take a desktop to class, you know!

Perhaps I would! If I'm honest I'm not big with computers, and the last laptop I had was VERY bad, so I'm just concerned of the level of performance but as long as it met my needs, I'm sure I could work with it:) Honestly, do what you think is best

I took out the laptop section because I hate recommending mid to low-end machines and don't care to familiarize myself with such an uninteresting and unimpressive market. Also recommending laptops in different countries has proved difficult.

And please, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop using this topic as discussion. Everyone. I made the other topic for a reason. If your post does not begin with "****PC Build Request Form****," do not post it here. This applies to everyone, and if you have a question about a build, spoil it in a quote and post it in this topic:

If any of us have something to ask you, we'll probably PM you that we responded in that thread. If you insist on reminding us about something, do it via PM or in the discussion topic. NOT HERE.
