I was just wondering because my friend has xex menu working on a normal Xbox so just wanted to know.

no, a retail cannot run unsigned codes

You can get it on a retail i know cos i have it, but try and start it and watch what it says.

Nope it needs to be able to run codes that are not ment to and thats what hacked/jtag xboxs are for
